Wolves Women News

Two Black Country Derbies in four days….

The Trust is looking forward to the two Black Country Derbies coming up this week for Wolves Women in what should be great adverts for Women’s football in the region.

The first is away at the Hawthorns in the League on Thursday 16th March (19:45 KO), and the second is away at Hednesford Town FC in the Semi-Final of the County Cup on Sunday 19th March (14:00 KO).

Our record against West Brom since promotion to the Northern Division has been excellent with us winning 4 out of 4, including beating them 4-1 in the County Cup Final last season. Currently, Wolves sit second in the league, fighting for the league title, whereas West Brom are 8th (out of 12) and just 6 points above the drop zone.

With many Wolves fans in the team, we know that Macca and the Girls will want to ensure that the Black Country remains Old Gold and Black; as well as keep us in the running for two pieces of silverware.

It’s now over to all of us to out-sing West Brom and be that extra player for Wolves Women from the stands!

It will be great to see as many Wolves fans as possible at both games – let’s turn the Hawthorns and Hednesford, Old Gold. Ticket details for the game at the Hawthorns can be found here.

The game at Keys Park, is pay on the gate (£5/adult; £1/child).
