Membership price increase

Wolves 1877 Trust Disappointment at Membership price Increase.

The Wolves 1877 Trust is disappointed at the club's decision to increase the cost of the Membership scheme. The cost of membership had risen to £38 for adults.

Wolves Trust Chair Daniel Warren said" We are concerned and disappointed that the club has increased membership fees. The membership fee is now nearly double the price it was when it was launched back in 2011".

Trust representatives on the Club's Ticketing forum made clear that membership fees shouldn't increase together with Season Ticket and Match Day ticket prices.

The Trust is concerned that fans are being used as a cash cow at a time when the cost of living is rising at the highest rate in 30 years and many supporters are struggling with rising energy and fuel bills. For many fixtures during the season the only way you can get a ticket at Molineux is by being a member.

The Trust raised concerns last year about the removal of loyalty points which meant that members who attended the most games would no longer be given priority.

The club have been looking at an enhanced membership scheme which would cost more than the current scheme and would give members a greater level of priority. The Trust has made it clear to the club its concerns as the club is effectively asking people to pay more  for being loyal. We're pleased that club haven't introduced this, at this point, but feel that that they are increasing the Membership cost with no real additional benefits.

Dan Warren added "The club claim to have a "One Pack Mentality" but the constant creep of price rises over the last 4 years is not equitable with this and fans I have been talking with are concerned about the affordability of their favourite past time"

The Trust will be raising concerns about price of postage attached to the Membership scheme. If multiple memberships are in the same household they still have to pay the individual postage costs.

The Trust would like to reiterate our stance on Season Ticket renewals and call on the club to follow the lead of many clubs in the Premier League and freeze ticket prices for next season. If the club raise ticket prices this season it will be 4th year of increase, we are now out of step with other Premier League clubs.
