Strengthening Supporter Voices at Wolves
Wolves 1877 Trust welcomes the club's review of its structured supporter engagement arrangements. The review has involved consultation with a number of key stakeholders, including the Trust, the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and the Football Supporters' Association (FSA). While the review principally focuses on the Fan Advisory Board and Fan Focus Groups, it also builds on wider supporter consultation, including the Fans Forum hosted by BBC WM.
These initiatives provide supporters with meaningful opportunities to contribute to discussions that help shape both the matchday experience and the club's long-term direction. By bringing together representatives from across the fanbase, they ensure that supporter views are heard, considered and reflected in decision-making.
The Fan Advisory Board sits at the heart of this engagement structure. Comprising representatives from the Fan Focus Groups, the Wolves 1877 Trust, the Wolves Disabled Supporters Association (DSA), and two independently elected supporters, the FAB meets regularly with senior club representatives to discuss strategic issues affecting supporters. These include ticketing, matchday experience, stadium developments, equality, diversity and inclusion, and wider club strategy.
The FAB is co-chaired by the club's nominated Board-level representative for supporter engagement and an elected supporter representative, ensuring dialogue remains open, constructive and transparent. Notes from structured dialogue meetings are published on the club's website, allowing all supporters to remain informed about discussions and outcomes.
Supporting the work of the FAB will be three dedicated Fan Focus Groups, each designed to explore specific aspects of the supporter experience in greater detail:
Fan Experience – covering all aspects of the matchday and wider supporter journey, including atmosphere, facilities, catering, ticketing, fan zones, digital engagement and away supporter experiences.
Community & Social Responsibility – focusing on equality, diversity and inclusion, environmental sustainability, safeguarding, and the club's wider community impact in partnership with the Wolves Foundation.
Wolves Women Experience – supporting the continued growth of Wolves Women by providing feedback on matchday experience, communications, facilities and supporter engagement.
The Focus Groups provide a valuable forum for detailed discussion and practical feedback, with their recommendations feeding directly into the Fan Advisory Board, ensuring that operational issues are linked to strategic decision-making.
An open application process will be introduced for supporters wishing to apply for either of the two independent positions on the Fan Advisory Board or to join one of the Fan Focus Groups.
